摘要: Some of the advances in past decade field solid tumor cytogenetics are described, with particular reference to nonrandom structural chromosome changes. Although it had been known for many years that meningiomas and salivary gland tumors were associated changes involving chromosomes, has only quite recently become clear, following application suitable culture techniques, other benign such as lipomas leiomyomas may also be characterized by specific changes, particularly reciprocal translocations. Reciprocal translocations found malignant soft-tissue liposarcomas (involving 12q lipomas) Ewing's sarcoma. In contrast, common forms carcinoma present a more variable picture, although certain chromosomes undergo various types, including translocations, which, however, generally nonreciprocal. these (e.g., 10 prostatic #18 colorectal cancer), while others appear or all types carcinoma, 1, 3, 11, 17, small metacentric an i(5p). bladder, different characterize subsets tumors. cervix, commonly involved ?5, markers any combination thus not mutually exclusive. further study carcinomas is essential understanding their relationship molecular transformation, can hypothesized that, some result duplication genes, e.g., on 1q, important role bring about loss chromosomal segments containing tumor-suppressor genes. Evidence from studies accumulating alleles on, instance, 3p, 11p, 17p, which could part due gross rearrangements, strongly suggests importance genic transformation. carcinomas, at least, probably involve number each change representing one several steps necessary tumorigenesis.
