摘要: Controlling surface wavefront of apertures using a distributed array actuators to mechanically correct the has been widely studied. Traditional active reflector systems require sustained voltage profile which holds each actuator at specific strain state control reflector. Each actuator, typically piezoelectric, draws small amount power under nominal operation. This draw is small, but can complicate mission designs that depend on cryogenic primary surface. In this study we have extended results our previous work include nonlinear piezoelectric actuation for systems. By deliberately operating in regime, it possible deform such way maintains its corrected shape without power. Demonstration unpowered mirror positioned technology as suitable cryogenic/infrared report describes characterization campaign, and associated energy-efficient demonstration.
