摘要: Carnegie Mellon University has proposed an educationaland entertainment-based robotic lunar mission which will last two years and cover 1000km on the moon revisit several historic sites. With transmission of live panoramic video, participants be provided opportunity for interactively exploring through teleoperation telepresence. The requirement video telepresence demands high data rates order 7.5 Mbps. This is challenging since power available communication approximately 100W occupied bandwidth limited to less than 10 MHz. tough environment introduces additional challenges survivability reliability. A system based a phased array antenna, Nyquist QPSK modulation rate 2/3 Turbo code presented can satisfy requirements continuous at low reliably over year duration. Three ground stations with 22m parabolic antennas are required around world maintain communication. then relayed via satellite current control station location. paper presents overview mission, design.
