Positron Annihilation in Steel Burnished by Vibratory Shot Peening

摘要: ing time of treatment. The samples were investigated by nondestructive positron annihilation techniques: angular correlations two-quantum radiation and lifetime spectroscopy. To determine residual stresses present under burnished surface the same studied destructive Davidenkov method. Change absolute value weighted average over range in series is good agreement with change S=W ratio obtained radiation. Both parameters increase during flrst 10 minutes shot peening then stabilize. Positron spectra allowed to identify two types structural defects: smaller ones like vacancies or dislocations bigger | probably clusters vacancies. Increase causes reduction trapping rate rise defects.
