摘要: Abstract Limited information is available on drug-induced neuropsychiatric disorders in general practice. The spontaneous reports of both neurological and psychiatric adverse drug reactions (ADRs) collected during a 2-year period PharmaSearch database, an Italian database recording ADRs from practitioners (GPs), were examined. Between January 2002 December 2003, 171 sent to total 1131 corresponding 1892 ADRs. Of overall reports, 310 (27.4%) involved the central nervous system resulting 440 (specifically, 241 199 psychiatric). In our survey, 40 excluded because they incomplete or contradictory thus classified as ‘unlikely’ ‘unclassifiable’. Therefore, present analysis was carried out 270 with 391 (213 178 psychiatric, respectively). Vertigo (16.4%), confusion (10.7%) headache (10.0%) more commonly reported. Drugs indicated for treatment (ATC 1 code = N ) accounted only 38.4% reactions, while most these related drugs other than diseases. Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs), fluoroquinolones, antidepressant drugs, opioids, peptic ulcer categories frequently suspected reactions. 78 (19.9%) unlabeled 41 (10.5%) serious. conclusion, study practice underlines importance reminds GPs pay attention this kind toxicity when prescribe pharmacological agents their patients.
