摘要: With ever-increasing productivity targets in mining operations, there is a growing interest automation. The PIMM project addresses the fundamental challenge of network communication by constructing pilot 5G underground mine Kankberg. In this report, we discuss how such could constitute essential infrastructure to organize existing systems Kankberg into system-of-systems (SoS). analyze scenario which LiDAR equipped vehicles operating are connected mapping and positioning solutions. approach motivated approaching era remote controlled, or even autonomous, operations. proposed SoS ensure continuously updated maps Kankberg, rendered unprecedented detail, supporting both safety mine. We present four different solutions from an organizational point view, discussing development operations constituent be distributed among Boliden external stakeholders, e.g., vehicle suppliers, hauling company, developers software. scenarios compared technical business perspectives, based on trade-off discussions SWOT analyses. conclude our report recommending continued research along two future paths, namely closer cooperation with further feasibility studies regarding establishing software ecosystem.
