摘要: The tetraspanins constitute a conserved superfamily of four-span membrane proteins that are widely distributed in multi-cellular organisms. A characteristic property is their ability to form lateral associations with one another and other proteins, giving rise tetraspanin enriched microdomains (TEM) involved the molecular organisation many membrane-associated functions such as adhesion, fusion trafficking. Increasing evidence suggests intracellular pathogens, especially viruses, have "hijacked" means entering, traversing exiting cells during course infection. This article reviews current for role uptake, trafficking spread viruses well bacteria, fungi parasites. Finally, prospects targeting therapeutic intervention infections caused by pathogens discussed.
