摘要: A grease-gap method for studying the pharmacology of CA1 hippocampal pyramidal cells was developed with use rat slices that included only area and retrohippocampal area. These were transferred to a two-compartment superfusion chamber cell bodies in separated from their axons subiculum grease barrier. The depolarized relative by N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA), (RS)-alpha-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolepropionate (AMPA), kainate L-glutamate. NMDA unusually potent CA1-subiculum slice compared other preparations. receptor antagonists D(-)-2-amino-5-phosphonovalerate (D-AP5), phencyclidine Mg2+ shifted dose-response curve right parallel manner. Similarly, quisqualate antagonist pentobarbitone AMPA right. Schild plots these had slopes insignificantly different 1. results are consistent presence substantial reserve on cells. They also line high density excitatory amino acid receptors known pharmacological properties receptors. Grease-gap studies fill need means obtaining quantitative data
