摘要: Outbreaks of jungle yellow fever in man have been recorded twice from eastern Panama recent years, first 1948 and again 1956. Since then, a close surveillance has maintained on virus activity Panama. Recent field observations serological tests 402 monkey sera indicate that there was an outbreak among monkeys southern Darien Province some time between 1963 1965. It does not appear the spread as yet to other areas. Virus transmission may permanently disrupted during drought which affected region However, if had managed survive this unfavourable period, epizootic wave might evolved, invading forested areas immediately east Canal, now inhabited by dense non-immune human population.
