摘要: Introduction Training for dental practitioners in implant dentistry ranges from 1- or 2-day short Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses to certificate/diploma programmes run by universities. In general, the teaching of Europe lacks structure and standardisation. This paper aims to: (i) identify current trends CPD Europe; (ii) potential limitations with regards design implementation activities dentistry; (iii) provide recommendations on future development dentistry. Methods A search literature was undertaken PubMed manuscripts published English after 2000 reporting particular. addition, an electronic survey conducted, investigating attitudes towards among a wide group stakeholders education. Conclusions There is diversity educational pathways achieving competences through CPD. At present, there need improving structures dentistry, strengthening quality assurance encouraging standardisation transparency learning outcomes. structured system clearly defined objectives mapped against specific levels competence recommended.
