Immune responses of two superoxide dismutases (SODs) after lipopolysaccharide or Aeromonas hydrophila challenge in pufferfish, Takifugu obscurus

摘要: Abstract As antioxidant metalloenzymes, superoxide dismutases (SODs) represent the first line of defense against oxidative stress caused by excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) in biological systems. In present study, tissue distribution analysis demonstrated that ToMnSOD and ToCu / ZnSOD pufferfish ( Takifugu obscurus ) were highly expressed liver, followed heart brain. The time-course dynamic expressions ToSODs observed through experimental challenges with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) or Aeromonas hydrophila , which all significantly altered kidney gill. Results enzymatic activity western blot analyses also showed changes at protein levels regulated LPS A. challenge. These results suggested two played crucial roles immune system T. our findings gave useful evidence to further understand regulatory mechanism SODs innate pufferfish. Statement relevance This study clarify contributed manage diseases develop sustainable culture. Therefore, this paper may impact general field commercial aquaculture.
