摘要: Abstract Facility operators interact with building automation systems (BASs) on a regular basis for various purposes such as facility maintenance, occupant comfort, equipment monitoring, safety and security. Evaluation of BAS interfaces showed that there are challenges faced by impede their efficiency accuracy responses to reported situations. These revolve mainly around the lack spatial context monitored sensor readings statuses, operators' information overloading. Various visualization techniques have been used in commercially available BASs, however, impact situation awareness is not clearly known. This study focuses this need evaluates best suit needs operators. identifies applicable encode sematic context, details design implementation user studies were performed seventeen expert six novice understand timeliness situations relation system monitoring. The findings suggested visualization-based generally improve decisions monitoring tasks compared designed tabular displays. results can be practitioners industry, only greenhouse but also general, vendors consider interfaces.
