摘要: Liquid biopsy was introduced to the oncology field with promise of revolutionizing management cancer patients, minimizing exposure invasive procedures such as tissue biopsy, and providing reliable information regarding therapy response detection disease relapse. Despite significant increase in number published studies on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) past years, emphasis most is development new technologies or clinical utility ctDNA. This leaves a clear gap knowledge concerning biology ctDNA, fundamental mechanisms through which from cells released into circulation. Moreover, considering that ctDNA analysis now currently being applied practice, need for rigorous quality control arising, it necessity standardize procedures, sample collection data analysis. review focuses main aspects including approaches available evaluate genetics, well points still require improvement order make liquid key player precision medicine.
