摘要: Environmental assessments of proposed infrastructure projects include an appraisal the vibration that would be generated by potential construction methods. This paper considers one part process: prediction groundborne from percussive piling. Various methods for predicting magnitude vibra- tion piling have been described in literature. In general, accuracy predictors is limited. The investigates reasons this, through development theoretical models and analysis field data extensive programme on-site monitoring. It found some widespread assumptions about relationship between energy rating a hammer vibrational developed ground are invalid. Ground conditions shown to dominant influence on piling, which take no account soil type yield con - siderably less accurate estimates than site-specific predictions.
