摘要: Abstract Strength reduction factors which permit estimation of inelastic strength demands from elastic are evaluated. Results various investigations carried out over the last 30 years reviewed, and their results presented in a common format facilitates comparison. The main parameters that affect magnitude reductions discussed. evaluation indicates primarily influenced by maximum tolerable displacement ductility demand, period system soil conditions at site. Simplified expressions to estimate design spectra as functions these primary‐influencing presented.
