摘要: Polarization properties of the photons emitted in two-photon decay hydrogen-like ions are studied within framework density matrix and second-order perturbation theory. In particular, we derive polarization correlation function that gives probability (two-photon) coincidence measurement performed by polarization-sensitive detectors. Detailed calculations this for $2s_{1/2} \to 1s_{1/2}$ transition neutral hydrogen as well Xe$^{53+}$ U$^{91+}$ ions.
