摘要: This paper presents a novel extraction device for water and noble gases from speleothem samples gas paleotemperature determination. The “combined vacuum crushing sieving (CVCS) system” was designed to reduce the atmospheric contents air inclusions in by up 2 orders of magnitude without adsorbing onto freshly produced grain surfaces, process that had often hampered temperature (NGT) determination past. We also present results first performance tests CVCS system processing stalagmite grown at known temperature. is reliably reproduced NGTs derived Ar, Kr, Xe extracted samples. is, therefore, suitable routine determinations accurate NGTs. In combination with dating, these will allow reconstructing past regional evolutions, support interpretation complex stable isotope records preserved stalagmites' calcite.
