摘要: The role of interleukin (IL)-4 in the activity two frequently used vaccine adjuvants, Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA) and aluminum hydroxide gels (alum), was studied using standard antigen ovalbumin (OVA) IL-4 genedisrupted mice (IL-4 -/-). In absence adjuvant, there an overall reduction antibody production to OVA -/- significantly greater amounts interferon (IFN)-gamma were produced following restimulation splenocytes with vitro compared immunocompetent controls +/+). Similarly, by Th1 cytokine IFN-gamma, equivalent that after inoculation FCA/OVA, detected inoculated alum/OVA.
