摘要: OBJECTIVE: Antioxidants are widely used in animal models to prevent renal injury after ischemia/reperfusion, but it is unknown if the benefits of antioxidants additive. In this study, we aimed investigate protective effects N-acetylcysteine plus deferoxamine an model kidney ischemia/reperfusion injury. METHODS: Bilateral ischemia was mastintained for 45 minutes. N-acetylcysteine, or both were administered into aorta above arteries immediately prior induction ischemia. Five rats from each group sacrificed 1, 6 12 hours reperfusion determination blood creatinine, oxidative damage parameters and myeloperoxidase activity. RESULTS: The combination deferoxamine, not their isolated use, prevented increase creatinine ischemia/reperfusion. This prevention followed by a consistent decrease activity cortex medulla. CONCLUSION: Treatment with superior use either compound
