摘要: Variations in detector efficiency induce significant artifacts reconstructed images unless accurate normalization methods are used. Scattered events detected with significantly different efficiencies than unscattered because the photons scattered coincidences arrive at lower energies and over a wide range of angles incidence. Current work well for septa-extended imaging scatter fractions low. The large encountered fully 3D imaging, however, require that these differences be accounted for. authors proposes technique accounts them show it yields more uniform two other potential methods. >
