摘要: This paper presents a general theoretical investigation of the integrated-optical crossing-channel waveguide electrooptic modulator (sometimes called "TIR" modulator). The model is based upon analysis mode conversion during propagation through device. results are compared to experimental data. operation these modulators can be roughly divided into two classes, reflective-type and mode-interference-type devices, an "adiabatic criterion" (made up optical wavelength, width, crossing angle) number modes supported by waveguide.
