摘要: Survival rates following curative resection for gastric cancer are higher in East Asia than Europe and the US. The aggressive surgical approach adopted may explain these observations. In Japan Korea, gastrectomy with extended lymphadenectomy (D2 gastrectomy) has been standard of care many years, whereas perigastric lymph nodes (D1 surgery) favored US until recently. D2 surgery is now recommended globally based on 15-year findings from large Dutch D1D2 study, which showed a reduction cancer-related deaths versus D1 surgery. Improved outcomes being reported as becomes more widely used. addition to surgery, systemic therapy also required control recurrences, although preferred regimen differs by region. Given that some studies preferences predate widespread acceptance optimal should be considered carefully. Recent support use adjuvant chemotherapy after Adjuvant valid other regions benefits have demonstrated unequivocally.
