摘要: Correlations of experimental data on heat transfer from nonboiling, horizontal fluid layers with internal generation have been cast into a form suitable for analysis postaccident removal in fast reactors. Available equal boundary temperatures indicate that the downward rate can be accounted by conduction alone, while upward is largely controlled convection. A new correlation presented applies to evaluation and fluxes an internally heated layer unequal temperatures. Analysis techniques are illustrated example calculation pertaining molten mixed-oxide fuel.
