摘要: Osteochondroma manifests as a benign tumor that occurs an abnormal bony development. This is commonly asymptomatic and presents exophytic outgrowth on bone surfaces, near synovial joints, condition invariably induces evident facial deformities. Treatment for this type of usually involves surgical approach promoting total or partial resection the affected anatomical area associated to prosthetic reconstruction extracted. We present case report about giant mandibular condyle osteochondroma in 37-year-old female patient. Her treatment involved condylectomy without immediate condylar reconstruction, which would be performed posterior approach. During patient’s follow-up (every 6 months post operation), spontaneous rudimentary condyle-like formation was observed. Because stomatognathic function harmony were satisfactory, we observed development 5 years follow-up. Also, because both aesthetic aspect functional evolution maxillary considered no complementary required condyle.
