摘要: The Rothschilds giraffe is currently listed as vulnerable by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). This attributed to loss habitat due human activities. study examined effect type on population structure and distribution in Ruma National Park (RNP) Mwea Reserve (MNR) Kenya. employed road transects collect data number, age class sex three types, open, medium closed. Data was collected along equal lengths measuring 14.2 km each site (RNP MNR) comparison. A driving speed 20 per hour maintained transect standardization survey effort a maximum detection rate. Photographic capture coat patterns right side all giraffes sighted within 500 m from done identification classes. field visits were replicated 12 times giving 36 replications spread equally through wet dry seasons March 2017 November 2018. analysed using ANOVA Tukey HSD test significant differences. T-test used compare mean size across seasons. Coat pattern analysis WildID software. findings indicated that MNR had more males females compared RNP registered calves. Habitat giraffes. showed preference types. are key management quality populations at interface where conservation areas overlap with land use.
