摘要: The nucleation of lead onto vitreous carbon electrodes has been investigated. Diffusion-controlled growth nuclei inhibits nucleation, giving rise to saturation with and introducing correlations in their location on the electrode surface. Similar nuclear number densities were obtained from direct, microscopic observation surface analysis potentiostatic current transients considering development exclusion zones around already established nuclei. At low overpotentials found be uniformly distributed surface, whereas at high results consistent simulations process that allowed for existence nuclei, radii proportional square root age.
