摘要: To the best of our knowledge, this is first report Klebsiella, Acinetobacter and Pseudomonas-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae Carbapenemase (KPC) among burn infants in Iran. The objective study was to determine phenotypic detection these KPC isolated Pseudomonas aeruginosa, baumannii spp. A cross-sectional performed (February September 2011) at a tertiary hospital Tehran, Sixty-four strains were from 20 patients. Strain genus isolates confirmed, antibiotic susceptibility testing implemented, determined by Modified Hodge Test. Fifteen 36 (six six baumannii, three pneumoniae) resistant imipenem. Ten Gram negative all tested antibiotics except for Colistin. Thirteen 15 imipenem confirmed as KPC-producer bacteria that nine Six extended-spectrum β-lactamase (ESBL)-producing bacteria, which four both ESBL. high percentage multidrug (MDR) centre with positive have created major challenge terms mortality morbidity. findings highlight importance implementing an effective infection control strategy prevent decrease prevalence KPC-producing organisms.
