Energy use and CO2 emission of new residential buildings built under specific requirements – The case of Växjö municipality, Sweden

摘要: The Vaxjo municipality sets specific energy related requirements beyond the Swedish building code (BBR) when selling land for construction of new residential buildings. requirement Ostra Lugnet area was that all buildings must be connected to local district heating network and installation heat pumps prohibited in developer-built group/row houses. This paper (a) analyzed if use fulfilled BBR municipality, (b) compared primary CO2 emission from operation heated with hypothetical scenarios where only air-source or bedrock were installed. Results showed a significant proportion houses did not fulfil municipality. There large variations between predicted actual use. Using marginal accounting approach, found have lowest carbon emission. From this perspective it seems appropriate set network.
