摘要: The aim of this phenomenological study was to explore caring and uncaring encounters with nurses other health professionals from the perspective person who has been diagnosed treated for cancer. Through thematic analysis in-depth dialogues five women four men in remission or recovery phase cancer, three major categories regarding were identified. essential structure a encounter found be threefold: 1. nurse/health professional perceived as caring: an indispensable companion on cancer trajectory; 2. resulting mutual trust connection; 3. effect encounter: sense solidarity, empowerment, well-being, healing. is also uncaring: unfortunate hindrance perception well-being healing; mistrust disconnection; uneasiness, discouragement, being broken down. findings emphasize primacy competence caring, well that genuine concern, openness willingness connect others. often devastating effects recipient nursing care raises question whether ethical problem should perhaps dealt malpractice care.
