Partial Atomic Volume of Early Transition Metals in A10 Metal-Based Solid Solutions

摘要: Unit-cell parameters were measured for the A 10 metal-based (= Ni, Pd, Pt) solid solutions (Pearson symbol cF4, space group Fm3m, Cu type) with 5 transition metals (V, Nb, Ta) in whole range of homogeneity. Composition dependence both average atomic volume and enthalpy formation investigated 6 metals; partial molar determined -rich terminal phases. Among systems investigated, only Pd(Cr) Pt(Cr) show chromium larger than volume. In nickel-based solution, is equal to The - nickel, palladium platinum-rich alloys shows negative values evaluated metals. An enlarged investigation data available literature that relative change, resulting from dissolving process early alloys, increase decreasing number 3d 4d electrons elements. For 5d quasihomologous metals, this observation valid 4 ... elements as well.
