摘要: In this study, axial (λ||) and radial (λ⊥) diffusivities derived from diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) were used to evaluate white matter injury in brains of mice affected by experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE). Sixteen female C57BL/6 immunized with amino acids 35–55 myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG35–55). Three months after immunization, optic nerve tract severely 19% 18% decrease λ|| respectively, suggesting the presence axonal injury. addition, a 156% 86% increase λ⊥ was observed suggestive After vivo DTI, perfusion fixed immunohistochemistry for identification basic protein (MBP) phosphorylated neurofilament (pNF) performed verify The present study demonstrated that visual pathway is selectively MOG35–55 induced murine EAE these injuries are non-invasively detectable using λ⊥.
