摘要: BACKGROUND AND AIM Short stature is a common extraintestinal manifestation of celiac disease (CeD). We conducted systematic review and meta-analysis to assess the global prevalence CeD in patients presenting with short stature. METHODS searched Medline EMBASE databases for keywords "celiac disease, coeliac anti-gliadin, tissue transglutaminase antibody, anti-endomysial growth retardation." All studies published from January 1991 May 2020 were included. Patients without any prior evaluation classified as all-cause stature, while evaluated patients, where no cause was found idiopathic The diagnosis based on European Society Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology Nutrition guidelines. A random-effects model used pool data. RESULTS Seventeen screening 3759 (1582 2177 stature) pooled seroprevalence positive anti-tissue antibody 11.2% (95% CI 4.0-21.2%; I2  = 86%) 9.7% 2.7-20.2%;  = 95%) respectively. Similarly, biopsy-confirmed 7.4% 4.7-10.6%;  = 76%) 11.6% 4.1-22.2%;  = 97%), There an overall severe risk selection bias significant heterogeneity results. CONCLUSIONS Approximately one 14 nine had CeD. Therefore, may be prudent all
