摘要: Abstract This study investigates the influence of key biomass parameters on specific oxygen uptake rate (SOUR) in a sponge submerged membrane bioreactor (SSMBR) to develop mathematical models viability. Extra-cellular polymeric substances (EPS) were considered as lumped parameter bound EPS (bEPS) and soluble microbial products (SMP). Statistical analyses experimental results indicate that bEPS, SMP, mixed liquor suspended solids volatile (MLSS MLVSS) have functional relationships with SOUR their relative was order EPS > bEPS > SMP > MLVSS/MLSS. Based correlations among SOUR, two independent empirical viability developed. The validated using SSMBR. However, further validation for different operating conditions is suggested.
