摘要: Abstract New invertebrate records from the Lower Cretaceous Las Hoyas site (La Huerguina Formation, Iberian Range, Spain) are here described, among them, first record of clam shrimps this unit. This fauna includes a new afrograptid, Lahuerguinagrapta multicostata gen. et sp. nov., eosestherioid-polygraptid Skyestheria sp., and anthronestheriid Pseudestherites is characterized by large individuals with wide growth bands, suggesting favorable paleoenvironmental conditions. Regarding preservation, according to analysis energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry, carapaces preserved mainly in calcium phosphate. These shrimp represent third report European second finding genus Europe its fourth outside China. In addition, these findings, given their restricted stratigraphic geographical record, support Early (Barremian) age La Formation confirm importance region as bridge for dispersion Jurassic–Cretaceous forms Southern Hemisphere.
