摘要: Epilepsy is the second most prevalent brain disorder affecting approximately 70 million people worldwide. A modern approach to developing study model it as a system of systems, represented by network oscillators, in which emergent property synchronization occurs. Based on this perspective, epileptic seizures are processes hyper-synchronization between areas. The paper develops case with use Partial Directed Coherence (PDC), Surrogate and Mutual Information (MI) perform functional connectivity analysis observing phenomenon. aim examine transmission rate (R) areas—cortex, hippocampus thalamus—during basal intervals. main contribution combination both methods performed using 5 EEG signals from rodents showed that applied methodology represents another appropriate alternative existing for such Granger Causality, Transfer Entropy, providing insights communication.
