摘要: Sympatric guenons in East Africa associate with one another mixed-species groups to an intermediate degree. This makes it possible compare a given group's ecology and behavior when is part of association unaccompanied, correlate tendency various ecological parameters. Two studies incorporating these approaches have been made sympatric Cercopithecus ascanius C. mitis monkeys the Kakamega Forest, Kenya, Kibale Uganda. The pattern reasons for each site are reviewed. Compared Kakamega, between occurs less often, species appear benefit relative different ways. These results suggest that particular setting greatly influences nature interaction species, through its effect on population structure, dietary overlap, food distribution, community composition. major differences two study areas probably reflect post-Pleistocene history possibly climate, but they important consequences present-day structure feeding hence affect relations them as well.
