摘要: Surface Magneto-Optical Effect (SMOKE) studies of the exchange coupling in bcc Fe/Cu/Fe(001) structures and Brillouin Light Scattering (BLS) results on Fe(OOl) whisker/Cr/Fe(001) are presented. It is shown that interfaces trilayers can be significantly improved by choosing an appropriate growth procedure. The Fe/Cu/Fe was studied as a function interlayer thickness. interpretation magnetization loops for requires simultaneous presence bilinear biquadratic between magnetic layers. Computer calculations were used to determine strength couplings. increases with increasing terrace width. measured values compared model recently proposed Slonczewski, which treats imperfect interfaces. Slonczewski’s deconvolute data obtain intrinsic behavior trilayers. unobscured interface roughness exhibits strong short wavelength oscillatory agreement recent first principles band calculations.
