摘要: Background: It is well known that exposure to light, especially of short wavelength, enhances human alertness during the nighttime. However, more information needed elucidate effects light wavelength on at other times day. The present study investigated how two narrowband spectra affected morning after awakening. We measured electroencephalography (EEG) 48-minute short- and long-wavelength darkness in early morning. Results: Power densities EEG each were calculated. time course power indicated that, compared with remaining darkness, alpha frequency range (8–13 Hz) was significantly lower approximately 30 minutes exposures both light. Conclusions: These results suggest not only short-wavelength but also which does suppress melatonin levels night, can affect alerting hours may be mediated by mechanisms than those are exclusively sensitive
