摘要: Abstract When David Bohm published his alternative theory of quantum mechanics in 1952, it was not received well; a recurring criticism that formed reactionary attempt to return classical physics. In response, emphasized the progressiveness approach, and even turned accusation classicality around by arguing he wanted move beyond elements still inherent orthodox mechanics. later years, moved more towards speculative mystical directions. This paper aims explain this discrepancy between ways which Bohm's work on has been way himself presented it. I reject idea early can be described as mechanist, determinist, realist, contrast writings, argue there is fact strong continuity from 1950s later, writings. particular, never strongly committed determinism realist some but others. A closer look at philosophical commitments highlights non-classical does offer avoid all ‘quantum weirdness’.
