摘要: Human hair, a biowaste composed of protein, is converted into nitrogen and sulfur co-doped porous carbonaceous materials via facile degradation carbonization/activation process. The resulting carbon possess large specific surface area value (2700 m2 g−1) as well high content (around 8.0 4.0 wt%, respectively). morphology, composition structure the obtained were thoroughly characterized using scanning transmission electron microscopy, elemental analysis, dioxide sorption X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, etc. It confirmed that both procedures play important roles in formation. Furthermore, these are proven to exhibit good performances gas adsorption: uptake (up 24.0 at 273 K 1.0 bar), methane adsorption 3.04 hydrogen 2.03 77 bar). capacities could be attributed microporous combined with functionalities. In addition, we believe this synthesis process offers effective way for transforming protein-containing biowastes functionalized materials.
