摘要: Landslides have become a serious hazard in mountainous region where exhaustive storm rainfall is common. The intensity of landslide not only depending upon and physical factors but also depends several anthropogenic activities or land use practices. aim objective this paper are to highlight the vulnerability with help analytical hierarchy process geographic information system (GIS) tools. Weighted overlay analysis method was used for assessing upper Rangit catchment area, West Sikkim, India, within GIS environment. Weights rank assigned on basis influence occurrence. Factors selected study include rock type, geomorphology, slope, aspect, drainage density, soil type cover. map will provide valuable local government planning management future. Higher weight greater lower lesser landslide. Southern part middle very high comparison northern region, having much towards south became more vulnerable. It has been observed that 38.48% area at low vulnerability, 32.26% 18.16% medium 8.56% 2.53% vulnerability.
