摘要: This study was designed to evaluate possible organ and system disorders associated with experimentally induced levamisole poisoning in dogs. For this purpose, twelve clinically healthy dogs of different ages, sexes breeds were used. They divided into two equal groups (Group A Group B) given orally at a dose 25 mg/kg body weight daily for three days. The B also injected atropin sulphate (0.04 weight) subcutaneously (sc) 1 hour after each administration levamisole. Routine clinical examinations made some haematological, biochemical blood gas parameters established various times developed severe neurological signs, gastric haemorrhage, bloody vomiting, colic, anaemia four died. In these signs mild only one dog Levamisole characterised by significant reduction the total number red cells (RBCs), concentration haemoglobin (Hb) packed cell volume (PCV), anaemia. Peripheral pH, actual bicarbonate plasma (HCO3), base excess (BE), partial pressure oxygen (pO2) saturated (O2SAT) increased both animals metabolic alkalosis 48 hours first results show that causes increase activity serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT) alkaline phosphatase (AP) urea B. study, reduced severity deaths, but it not alone sufficient remedy
