摘要: Tuffs have been used as a construction material possibly since ancient times. In Afyonkarahisar, Turkey, there are numerous buildings constructed by tuff. Tuff has local material, during the Roman, Seljuk and Ottoman periods. Even though tuffs relatively low durability strength values compared to marble, etc., they survived with no major deterioration failures on many historical buildings. It also preferred because of its high porous texture, lightweight easy shaping process properties in building sector. Naturally, it would be easily affected water humidity structure. However, having this kind structure leads poor due keeping it. The main objective study was evaluate physical mechanical tuff quarried from region possible effect, which may lead degradation thereby shortening life span used. Samples, were tested after exposing freeze thaw effects, measured at certain time. study, uniaxial compressive flexural tests conducted test samples. results indicate that deteriorate tuff’s materials
