Preface. Developmental Morphodynamics - bridging the gap between the genome and embryo physics

摘要: We, the Guest Editors of this Special Issue The International Journal Developmental Biology, are two older embryologists, who trying to bridge current chasm between Entwicklungsmechanic, developmental mechanics our embryogenesis forefathers, and modern movement molecular biology. Our rallying cry is that Wilhelm His: "To think heredity will build organic beings without mechanical means a piece unscientific mysticism" (His, 1888). Until recently, claim appeared us fall on somewhat deaf ears biologists. Yet, world still one, both physics chemistry obviously have their place in embryogenesis. Indeed, at level, membrane proteins which mechanoreceptors motor molecules may begin point way. Here, we colleagues make case for more equitable consideration mechanics.
