摘要: The habitat-related microgeographical body size variations in red foxes Vulpes vulpes living two separated areas of Mediterranean Spain, the Central Ebro Valley (CEV) and Doaana National Park (DNP) are analysed. In both areas, samples taken from good bad fox-habitats were compared regarding weight head length. Valley, collected habitat heavier (14%, P < 0.001 for males; 9%, 0.01 females) larger (4%, 1%, 0.05 than those habitat. Doaana, males 19% (P 0.01) 3% longer 0.05) poorer one. average DNP vixens did not show significant differences, although higher It is shown that adult can vary, linked to change even across short geographic distances. Some tentative explanations these results discussed.
