摘要: Objectives. It has been shown previously that IL-23R variants are associated with AS. We conducted an extended analysis in the UK population and a meta-analysis published studies, order to refine these associations Methods. The case-control study included 730 new cases 1331 healthy controls. In study, were combined 1088 cases. Allelic analysed using contingency tables. meta-analysis, 3482 3150 controls from four different studies combined. DerSimonian-Laird test was used calculate random effects pooled odds ratios (ORs). Results. cases, of eight SNPs showed significant associations, whereas seven (P < 0.05) AS, maximal rs11209032 10, OR 1.3), when IBD and/or psoriasis excluded. all SNPs; strongest again seen not only = 4.06 × ∼1.2) but also rs11209026 ∼0.6). Conclusions. polymorphisms clearly primary causal association(s) is(are) still established. These could contribute either increased or decreased susceptibility AS; functional will be required for their full evaluation. Additionally, observed stronger rs11465804 upon exclusion may represent independent association
