摘要: The High Energy Focusing Telescope (HEFT) is a balloon-borne experiment employing focusing optics in the hard X-ray/soft gamma-ray band (20 - 100 keV) for sensitive observations of astrophysical sources. primary scientific objectives include imaging and spectroscopy 44Ti emission young supernova remnants, X-ray obscured Active Galactic Nuclei, spectroscopic accreting high-magnetic field pulsars. Over last four years, we have developed grazing-incidence depth-graded multilayer high spectral resolution solid stat Cadmium Zinc Telluride pixel detectors order to assemble with sensitivity capability superior previous satellite missions operating this band. In paper, describe instrument design, present recent laboratory demonstrations detector technologies.© (2000) COPYRIGHT SPIE--The International Society Optical Engineering.
