摘要: Techniques are described which provide mechanisms for dual-homing an access ring virtual private wire service (VPWS) Ethernet line (E-Line) services. The mechanism may resiliency against failures and offer a restoration time of 50 msec upon failure. A method to such generally include determining, at first port node, failure in ring. Upon determining the node is not situated on same side as designated protection link (RPL) owner, message transmitted second towards provider edge (PE) node. used activate pseudowires (PWs) PE local area networks (VLANs)
