摘要: Quartz-pebble conglomerates and associated quartzites host the largest known concentrations of gold, providing more than 50% world’s annual gold production. Some these deposits also contain economic uranium, thorium, rare earths, minor amounts recoverable platinoids. The in quartz-pebble are those Witwatersrand (Rand) Republic South Africa; during a century mining have produced 37 million kg (1200 oz) gold. Similar but smaller occur Tarkwian system Ghana Jacobina series, Bahia, Brazil. Analogous deposits, containing only quantities Elliot Lake-Blind River district, Ontario, Canada.
