摘要: Epidemiological studies have consistently demonstrated that plasma concentrations of high density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol are inversely correlated with the incidence coronary heart disease (CHD) [1,2]. Although mechanisms by which HDL protects against atherosclerosis remain to be definitively established, has been postulated facilitate efflux from peripheral cells and transport back liver in a process termed reverse [3]. The major apolipoprotein constituents apoA-I apoA-II. Plasma CHD, however association apoA-II levels CHD not consistent [4,5]. A schematic overview proposed role metabolism is illustrated Figure 1.
